The Petitioner seeks correction in his form.
The Petitioner applied from O.B.C. category for the State quota. According to Mr. Patil, the learned Counsel, the Petitioner belongs to N.T. (C) category but by mistake he had mentioned in the form as belonging to O.B.C. category. The Petitioner possesses the Validity Certificate issued by the Scrutiny Committee of N.T. (C) category.

Mr. Narwadkar, learned Counsel for Respondent No. 2 submits that for first round it will not be possible because the online preference form (choices) filing process was from 21.01.2022 to 28.01.2022 and the declaration of select list for the first CAP round for M.B.B.S. / B.D.S. course is on 31.01.2022. However, the Petitioner for the second round can correct his mistake.

In the light of above, for the second round the Petitioner be permitted to correct the mistake i.e. from O.B.C. to N.T. (C) category and that too after document verification.

Mr. Patil, the learned Counsel shall deposit costs of Rs.1,000/- (Rs. One Thousand only) with the Bar Association.

The Writ Petition accordingly stands disposed of.
