The petitioner's claim for validation is pending before the Scrutiny Committee which has not been able to decide the proposal as was directed by this Court.

On instructions, learned AGP informs that the Committee is awaiting the report of the vigilance enquiry which is likely to receive within two weeks and the Committee would decide the proposal finally within a period of eight weeks.

We dispose of the Contempt Petition with following directions :

i.

The petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 09 February 2024.

ii.

The Committee shall hand over a copy of the vigilance report to which the learned Advocate for the petitioner may respond and thereafter, the Committee shall finally dispose of the proposal by 29 February 2024.
