PER COURT :- 1) The petitioners are praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus or any other suitable directions, directing to provide a suitable accommodation to the petitioners by framing an appropriate Scheme.

2) The petitioners, who are the encroachers over the Government lands, do not have any entitlement to ask for such relief. As such, the prayer made by the petitioners in terms of prayer clause (B) stands rejected.

3) The petitioners contend that they have requested the Collector for regularization of their possession over the Government land. The Collector may consider the representation tendered by the petitioners in accordance with law and keeping in mind the directives issued by the Supreme Court in the matter of Jagpal Singh & Ors. Vs. State of Punjab & Ors. - (2011) 11 SCC 396 and take appropriate decision within a period of four months from today. The writ petition is disposed of.
