DATE : 30th January, 2025 Per Court :- Though the petitioner has been seeking mutation in accordance with the rights of inheritance/ succession, she seems to have moved the application to the revenue authorities which are not contemplated under Section 149 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with liberty to the petitioner to make an appropriate application to the concerned Talathi in the light of Section 149 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code.
