PER COURT :- 1.

The impugned order is dated 06/12/2024, whereby the complaint filed by the petitioner against the respondent-alleging that the respondent failed to conduct the requisite Gram Sabha meetings, monthly meetings of the Gram Panchayat, has been dismissed. The dismissal was primarily on the ground that the records maintained by the Gram Sevak were not produced before the concerned authority, even though the responsibility for maintaining such records lies with the Gram Sevak. Furthermore, the report submitted by the Block Development OfÏcer also did not place before the Collector the record of the Gram Sabha meetings. 2.

It is to be noted that the term of the Sarpanch expires in January, and therefore, no further inquiry at this stage would be effective. Even if it is assumed that the meetings were not held, any disqualification arising therefrom would not extend beyond the elected term. Considering these aspects, no case is made out for interference in the impugned order. 3.
