The petitioners are the defeated candidates. The learned counsel for petitioners submits that, illegality has been committed in the election. There were large number of voters who were in fact residents of other states. Said illegality ought to have been considered.

The only remedy now to challenge result of election is by filing election petition.

The learned counsel for petitioners on instructions seeks leave to withdraw the writ petition with liberty to avail the remedy available under law.
