By this Writ Petition, the Petitioners, who are presently working as Junior Research Assistants with Respondent No.2 - University, are seeking a deemed date of promotion. The Petitioners were not considered for promotion as they had not cleared the Hindi language examination. The Petitioners have subsequently cleared the said examination.

The learned Advocate for the Petitioners restricts the relief to the extent of seeking a direction to Respondent No.2 - University to consider and decide the representations dated 23/09/2024, which is placed at Page No.12 of the Civil Application. 3.

The learned Advocate for Respondent No.2 - University and the learned AGP for Respondent No.1 - State are present. They submit that, the representation would be considered and decided on its own merits.

In view of the above, we direct the Respondent No.2 - University to consider and decide the Petitioners' representations dated 23/09/2024 on its own merits, in accordance with law, within a period of six [6] weeks from the date of receipt of this order.
