The Petitioners have no personal interest in the cause raised in this Petition. No legal injuries are caused to them. They have filed an application dated 28.12.2022 purportedly under section 40 of the Waqf Act, 1995 without mentioning any provisions or the Act under which an inquiry is sought. Moreover, section 40 of the Act does not permit bystanders or strangers to file an application on the ground that they belong to Mohammedan religion as is the contention before us for seeking a roving inquiry. 2.
