These application are filed by the State for condonation of delay. In the appeal challenge is raised to the award passed by the learned Reference Court enhancing the amount of compensation awarded to the respondents- original claimants. The amount is enhanced by 6-8 times by the learned Reference Court. While filing the appeals, the file is routed through various authorities and branches. It is for this reasons the delay is caused. There is no intention to cause delay but same is caused because of the procedure that is required to be followed which took sometime.

Learned advocate for the original claimants opposes the application stating that delay is more than four years and in some cases it is also 5 years and more and no sufficient reasons

(3) are mentioned.

However, considering that these are the appeals by the State and considering the reasons given in the application, this court feels that the applications deserve to be allowed. Hence, the application is thus allowed. Delay stands condoned. Office to register the appeals.
