Mr. Phatale, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the caste certificate issued to the petitioner was referred for verification before the scrutiny committee. The scrutiny committee under judgment and order dated 21.02.2021, on technical grounds disposed of the validation proceeding. According to the scrutiny committee, the caste certificate was obtained from an authority not possessing jurisdiction. Thereafter, the petitioner has obtained the caste certificate from the competent authority and on 04.03.2021 submitted the proposal for verification with the scrutiny committee and now the same is pending. The learned Counsel further submits that vigilance was already concluded by the scrutiny

2 wp 3243.2021 committee. The petitioner has filed say to the vigilance report. The hearing has already taken place. All steps for conclusion of the proceedings have already been completed. The scrutiny committee be directed to decide the said proceeding within four (04) weeks.

The learned A.G.P. accepts notice for all respondents.

In view of the statement made by the learned Counsel for the petitioner that all stages are completed, even vigilance of the documents was conducted, we pass the following order.

Respondent no. 2 - scrutiny committee shall endeavour to decide the validation proceeding in respect of the caste claim of the petitioner preferably within a period of two (02) months from the date of appearance of the petitioner. The petitioner shall appear before the scrutiny committee on 15.03.2021.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
