Needless to state, after the decision in Jagpal Singh and others Vs. State of Punjab and others - (2011) 11 SCC 396 and the decision of the Division Bench of this Court in Suo-moto Public Interest Litigation No.02/2022 (High Court on it's own motion Vs. The State of Maharashtra and others), we would not be issuing directions to the State Government with regard to prayers for regularization of encroachment.

Needless to state, if the Petitioners have moved any representation, the State Government may consider the same in the light of Jagpal Singh (supra) and in the light of the order of the Division Bench of this Court in Suo Moto Public Interest Litigation No.02/2022, within a period of 60 days.

The Writ Petitions are disposed off.
