This writ petition can be disposed of by directing the learned Collector before whom the appeal bearing No.2018/LR/TNC/Shivrai/A-01 is pending, to dispose of the same in a time bound manner and till then the parties are directed to maintain status quo. Though the learned counsel appearing for the parties have vehemently made submissions, however, all the points raised in this petition are kept open and the learned Collector is required to decide the appeal on its own merits. Hence, I proceed to pass the following order:

ORDER

(I) The learned Collector shall decide the pending appeal bearing No.2018/LR/TNC/Shivrai/A-01 as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of this order and till

31-WP-1647-2019.odt -2disposal of the said appeal, the parties shall maintain status quo. All points are kept open.

(II) The petitioners as well as respondents are at liberty to raise all the points before the learned Collector including the points raised before the Maharashtra Revenue Tribunal and the learned Collector shall dispose off the appeal on its own merits.
