The appeal preferred by the petitioner for challenging the closure of the school effected on 8th September, 2022, is pending before respondent No.2.

Considering the above and when a statutory remedy has been availed of, we would not entertain this petition. We direct respondent No.2 to decide the pending appeal of the petitioner lodged in November, 2022, as expeditiously as possible and in any case, on or before 15th April, 2023.

The Writ Petition is disposed off.

Needless to state, if the issue of any student of the said school appearing for the examination arises, the authority, which has closed down the school, would ensure that the students appear for the exams and do not lose their academic year.
