Heard learned Counsel for the petitioners. Though there are as many as five prayers in the petition, learned Counsel, on instructions, presses prayer clause (C). Prayer clause (C) reads thus :- "(C) By issuing the Writ of Mandamus or order of like nature the respondent authorities may kindly be directed to decide the representation of the Petitioners dt.15.12.2018 within stipulated time period."

Considering the limited prayer, the petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage. The representation is submitted to Sub-Divisional Officer, Jalna on 15.12.2018. Copy of the representation is also forwarded to respondent No.1 - District Collector, Jalna.

( 2 ) wp1564.19 The sum and substance of the petition is in the nature of requesting the authorities to take necessary entries in revenue record and then to award compensation. Learned Counsel submits that the representation is pending before the authority for considerable long time. The authorities be directed to decide the representation expeditiously. 3.

In view of above referred facts the petition is disposed of with directions to respondent No.2 - SubDivisional Officer (Revenue), Jalna to decide the representation dated 15.12.2018, if not decided till date as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of order of this Court. We make it clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the representation and the exercise of assessing merits is left to the concerned authority i.e. the Sub-Divisional Officer (Revenue), Jalna.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
