Petitioner tendered an application to the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Manjara Project, Osmanabad on 20.01.2015 claiming redetermination of amount of compensation payable to him under the provisions of section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. However, the application is stated to be pending and has not yet been decided. 2.

In the facts and circumstances, this petition can be disposed of by directing respondents 1 and 2 to take decision on the application tendered by petitioner under section 28-A of the Act, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six months from today and, it is accordingly directed. On determination of amount of compensation, respondent no. 3 is directed to make payment of amount so determined, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four months from the date of decision.
