The petitioner seeks directions against the respondents to appoint the petitioner on the post of Assistant Commissioner with the present respondent No. 4 i. e. Bruhan Mumbai Municipal Corporation, Mumbai.

Considering the judgment of the Apex Court in a case of Oil and Natural Gas Commission Vs. Utpal Kumar Basu and others reported in 1994 AIR SCW 3287, the petition would be maintainable before the Principal Seat at Bombay.

The learned counsel for the petitioner requests for transferring the petition to Bombay. The Registry shall take necessary steps for transfer of the petition to the Principal seat at Bombay.
