VERSUS
THE STATE OF MAHARASHTRA ...
Advocate for Applicant : Mr. Narwade Narayan B. APP for Respondent-State : Mrs. M. L. Sangit. ...
CORAM : S. G. MEHARE, J.
DATE :
18.03.2024 PER COURT :- 1.
Learned APP states that she has instructions from the learned APP from the Trial Court that only two witnesses were examined and trial is likely to be closed in the near future. 2.
Learned counsel for the applicant is insisting for the directions to the learned Trial Court to expedite the trial. In the situation, it would be unreasonable to direct the Trial Court to decide the matter and unnecessarily increase the pressure. Learned counsel for the applicant is also asking for the direction against the prosecution that anyhow they should examine two witnesses by tomorrow. Such directions are also not possible for the reasons that there may be many contingencies. This way or otherwise, the trial is going to be
3-BA.217-24.odt concluded in the near future. The applicant has right to crossexamine the witnesses. 3.
Learned APP before the Trial Court should not unnecessarily adjourn the matter.
4.
With the above reasons, bail application stands disposed of.
