Petitioners are objecting to the order passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, Shrirampur, on 29.12.2014, thereby disposing of their claim in respect of return of land acquired for the purpose of Maharashtra Sugar Mills, Tilaknagar. Petitioners claim that while disposing of claim, the concerned authority has over looked the provisions of Mohameddan Law as well as directives issued by the State Government under the provisions of Maharashtra Agricultural Lands (Ceiling on Holding) Act, 1961, more particularly, Chapter III, paragraph 7 thereunder. 2.

It would be open for the petitioners to tender a detailed representation / claim with the Sub-Divisional Officer, Shrirampur, within a period of four weeks from today. On receipt of the claim, the Sub-Divisional Officer, Shrirampur, after extending an opportunity of hearing to petitioners

wp1922.15.doc and all the interested parties, if any, shall proceed to re-determine the claim, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three months from the date of receipt of the claim. Order dated 29.12.2014 passed by the Sub-Divisional Officer, impugned in this petition, shall not be an impediment in re-determination of the claim. 3.
