The petitioner claims to be the sole heir of the land owner who was his father - Jayawantrao Rangnath Thombre, to whom a notice purportedly under Section 12 of the Land Acquisition Act, was served in the year 2002. He is claiming compensation after demise of the father and is keen in getting the representation decided.

Without expressing anything on merits, the writ petition is disposed of, directing respondent No. 3 to consider the petitioner's application (Exhibit 'C') on its own merits, as expeditiously as possible, and in any case, within eight (08) weeks in accordance with law.
