We have heard Mr. Jadhavar learned Advocate for the petitioner and Mr. Thombre, learned Advocate for respondent No.2.

The petitioner is challenging the promotion of Respondent No.3 to the Post of Assistant Registrar. According to the respodnents, the petitienr has remedy before the Grievance Committee under section 79 of the Maharashtra University Act.

In the light of above, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to to the petitioner to avail alternate remedy. In case the petitioner avails the 1/2

alternate remedy, all contentions of the respective parties are kept open.

If the petitioner approaches the Grievance Committee, then the Grievance Committee may decide the matter expeditiously.

5.

Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. No costs.
