After arguing the matter for some time, the learned advocate for the petitioners, on instructions, sought permission to withdraw the petition with liberty to approach the State Government with the representation seeking indulgence of the State Government to work out the best possible solution in the matter, in public interest.
The learned Senior Advocate appearing for Respondents No.2 and 3 and learned advocate for Respondents
{2} No.4, 6 & 7, oppose the request made on behalf of the petitioners and submit that heavy costs be imposed on the petitioners.
After considering rival submissions, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this PIL as withdrawn with liberty to the petitioners to approach the State Government with representation, if advised. If such representation is made, the State Government shall take decision on it within six months from the date of receipt of the representation. Needless to say that the petitioners shall send copy of the representation to Respondents No.2 to 7 by Registered Post A.D./Speed Post and the State Government shall also grant hearing to the petitioners as well as Respondents before taking any decision in the matter.
