Mr. Thombre the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the respondents have not followed the rotation policy and the Rules of 1964. The draws were not made only for these two villages. The post was directly reserved. According to the learned counsel, the earlier reservation made on 08.11.2020 were arbitrarily cancelled. No reason was given for that.

It would appear that the post of Sarpanch of Grampanchayat Nanegaon was reserved for General category in the year 1995, in the year 2000 for General (women) category, in the year 2005 for General category, in the year 2010 for SC category, in

118-WP-2009-2021.odt the year 2015 for General (women) category and now, it is reserved for OBC category. The said post again could not have been repeated for General (women) category as the same was already reserved in the last election i.e. 2015-2020.

We do not find, the rotation policy has been flouted. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
