PER COURT :- 1) Heard. After hearing counsel appearing for petitioner for some time, we are convinced that the challenge raised in the instant writ petition is unsustainable. The Sarpanch is supposed to hold office for remainder of the term and since the post of Sarpanch was earmarked for a candidate belonging to open category, he/she would continue to hold the post for the remainder of the term of village panchayat.

2) Writ Petition stands rejected.
