The petitioner seeks directions against the Committee to decide the validation proceeding within a stipulated period. 2.

We find that, this Court had already directed the Committee to decide the validation proceeding of the petitioner expeditiously under the judgment and order dated 07th September, 2017 in Writ Petition No. 3739 of 2002. More than two years have lapsed, it is submitted that, the same is not decided. When we say that proceedings are to be decided expeditiously and no time limit is stipulated, it would mean that the same is to be decided within reasonable period. Two years have lapsed after the order is passed. It was unreasonable for the Committee not to decide the proceeding as yet.

The Committee shall endeavour to decide the validation proceeding of the petitioner within a period of six (06) months from today.
