The petitioners are seeking process of acquisition to be undertaken under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013. 2.

The learned AGP referring to the affidavit-in-reply submits that already a proposal is received from the respondent No.3 which is acquiring body and further steps are being taken for acquisition. On instructions, he submits that the final award would be passed within six months. In view of such a statement and commitment by the respondent, the writ petition is disposed of.
