The petitioner is claiming freedom fighters' pension. His representation dated 09.01.2018 (Exhibit 'A') seems to be pending with respondent No. 2 - District Collector.

We dispose of the writ petition with a direction to respondent No. 2 to take appropriate decision/pass appropriate order on the petitioner's application (Exhibit 'A') if at all it has not been decided as yet, within a period of six weeks. Even if the application is not traceable in the office of respondent No. 2, we permit the petitioner to submit fresh application together with a copy of (Exhibit 'A') whereupon the collector shall take appropriate decision as directed hereinabove under intimation to the petitioner. The petitioner may appear before respondent No. 2 and furnish the document to substantiate his claim.
