We have heard Mr. Sonpethkar the learned counsel for the Petitioner, learned A. G. P. for the State and Mr. Shelke, the learned counsel for Respondent No. 5.

According to Mr. Sonpethkar, the learned counsel, the Respondents be directed to correct the voters list of the entire Aurangabad city and more particularly Ward No. 51. Major discrepancies appeared in the said list. The names of persons are recorded twice.

Mr. Shelke, the learned counsel submits that, the list for the ward elections are pursuant to the voters list for the assembly elections and the same is in consonance with the directions of the Maharashtra Provincial Municipal Corporations Act.

The learned counsel further submits that, even the elections are over.

If, the Petitioner feels that names of some voters in the voters list for ward elections are faulty, the corrections will have to be made in the voters list for the assembly elections. The Petitioner is at liberty to take steps in that regard. 6.
