The petitioners claim to be unemployed and further claim to be the children of those employees, who were working with the Rahuri Municipal Council. The service book of their parents/former employees, indicate that they were working as labourers. The report tendered by the Chief Officer to the District Collector, dated 04.03.2020 indicates that they were working in the Health Department. The present Chief Officer has addressed these petitioners, vide communication dated 19.01.2022, that the record does not reveal that their parents were working as "Safai Kamgars".

The learned advocate for the petitioners submits, on instructions, that the petitioners would pursue the Municipal Council for seeking correction of the service book of their parents. Since we expressed our disinclination, the learned advocate for the petitioners prays to withdraw this petition. 3.

As such, the Writ Petition is disposed off as withdrawn.
