Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.

The caste claim of the petitioner is invalidated. 3.

Amonst the other submissions, Mr. Jadhavar learned counsel for petitioner submits that the matter be relegated back to the Committee so as to enable the petitioner to prove the genealogy and relationship of those who are related and disprove the relationship which the Committee claims that they are relatives of the petitioner. The learned counsel also seeks one more opportunity to explain about alleged contra entries.

Considering the matter relates to social status of the petitioner, we are inclined to grant one more opportunity to the petitioner. In the result, we pass the following order:

:: ORDER ::

(i) The impugned order is quashed and set aside.

1087-WP-1698-22.odt (ii) The parties are relegated before the Committee. (iii) The petitioner shall appear before the Committee on 30th March, 2022 and may file his additional say and documents.

(iv) The Committee shall thereafter decide the proceeding afresh in accordance with the law and policy preferably at the end of June, 2022.

Writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
