The present application is filed seeking intervention in Public Interest Litigation No.76 of 2018. Learned Counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner in public interest litigation admitted that post filing the application, the petitioner had filed a separate and independent Criminal Writ Petition No.879 of 2019 in this Court with a prayer of seeking directions to register first information report/lodgment of report.

In view of aforesaid fact, no fruitful purpose would be served by permitting the applicants to intervene in the public interest litigation. The application, thus, has rendered infructuous and same is disposed of accordingly.
