The petitioner claims that his caste claim has been pending for decision before the relevant scrutiny committee for the last five years.

Mr. Kale, learned Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the claim of the petitioner shall be decided within eight weeks.

In view thereof, this writ petition stands disposed of with a direction upon the relevant committee to decide the petitioner's claim in accordance with law as early as possible, but positively within eight weeks of receipt of a copy of this order.
