The petitioner is before us being aggrieved by the fact that the respondent-Education Officer is not entertaining/has not considered his application for correction of the school record to the extent of his date of birth.

It transpires that giving a go by to the procedure laid down in Appendix Six to the Secondary School Code read with Rule 26.4, the petitioner has directly approached the Education Officer and soliciting an order, when he ought to have applied to the Headmaster-respondent no. 3 and solicited a proposal to be forwarded to the Education Officer. 4.

We dispose of the writ petition permitting the petitioner to submit necessary application for correction of the school record to respondent no. 3-headmaster.
