Petitioner's claim for correction of his surname in the record, has been initially turned down by the Headmaster on the ground that the petitioner to have left the school. 3.

The issue is no longer res integra. Division Bench of this Court on 26.03.2025 in Writ Petition No. 4128 of 2025, passed the order in favour of the similarly situated petitioner. 4.

Since the petitioner wants to correct his surname in the school record, we do not find any hurdle in allowing this writ petition with direction to the respondent Headmaster to move the proposal in that regard on the basis of the

(2) 67 WP-2382.2024.odt petitioner's application, to the Education Officer/ respondent No.3, who shall grant the same if there is no any other legal hurdle.

With the aforesaid direction, the petition stands disposed of.
