We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the Women reservation has to be one third of the total number of offices of the Sarpanches, but the respondents have kept almost 50 % seats for the women. The rotation has also not been followed properly. The O.B.C. reservation is provided to 13 Grampanchayats. The village Pathargavhan is not excluded and the reservation of O.B.C. female is clamped to the said village Panchayat. The reservation of O.B.C. Female is also more than prescribed seats.

We have heard the learned Incharge Government Pleader. 3.

As per the amendment, the reservation for Woman is 50 %. The

2 48-WP-2435-2021 same is properly resorted to. The petitioner belongs to Grampanchayat, Bhandarwada. The petitioner wants that the post of Sarpanch be reserved for O.B.C. Women. For the last election, the post of Sarpanch was reserved for Woman. We do not find any gross error on the part of authorities.
