The learned Advocate for the petitioner submits that the challenge in this petition is to the nomination of a Councillor. The learned AGP further submits that the learned Full Bench of this Court in Anil (Vidyarthi) Chanderlal Vs. State of Maharashtra and others in WP No.11278/20212, decided on 11.03.2016 crystallizes the Law that the nomination of a Councillor can also be a subject matter of an election petition.

The term of such nominated Councillor is over. Hence this petition is rendered infructuous.
