Police protection cannot be granted as a matter of course, unless the case of that nature is made out. The petitioner has approached respondent No. 4. It is for the respondent No. 4 to consider all the attending circumstances and take a decision as to whether it is necessary to grant Police protection to the petitioner. The application has been made to respondent No. 4 (page 47). Respondent No. 4 is authorized to take a decision upon it on its own merits, preferably within a period of 15 days. 3.

The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
