ORAL ORDER :

By order dated 20.6.2017, the Division Bench of this Court directed the respondent Scrutiny Committee to take decision on the matters of verification of the tribe certificate on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of one year from the date of receipt of corrected certificate from each of the petitioner. The petitioner, by taking appropriate steps, approached the competent authority for issuance of corrected certificate and submitted the same to the Scrutiny Committee for verification and validation. Copy of the application submitted to the Committee to that effect dated 17.5.2018 is placed on record at

The petitioner approached this Court for the delay in compliance of the order of this Court and on the backdrop of the grievance raised in the present petition, simple notice was issued to respondents No.1 and 2 vide order dated 25.2.2019. In response to the notice, the respondents No.1 and 2 are being represented through learned A.G.P. The learned A.G.P., on instructions received from respondents No.1 and 2, makes a statement before this Court that the Scheduled Tribe Certificate Verification Committee, Aurangabad, in which the respondent No.1 is occupying the position as Joint Commissioner and respondent No.2 is Member of the Committee, would undertake the exercise of verification of the certificate, needless to state, on merits, within two months from today. The statement made by learned A.G.P. is accepted as an undertaking to this Court. 3.

In view of the statement made before this Court, the grievance of the petitioner is redressed. Accordingly, Contempt Petition is disposed of.
