We had already expressed our disinclination to grant any relief to petitioners while passing order dated 09.02.2024. Pursuant to the order passed on the last date on instructions learned advocate for the petitioners seeks leave to withdraw the criminal writ petition. It is disposed of as withdrawn. 2.

However, the present matter is an indication about utter lack of security in the Courts in the State. But for absence of any security arrangement,, it would not have been possible to carry the fire arm in the vicinity of the Court hall. 3.

This, in all probability must be the state of affair across the state. Taking into consideration the larger interest, we feel that

2 cri wp 228.24 a suo motu criminal PIL needs to be initiated. 4.

Mr. Anirudha A. Nimbalkar, learned advocate is appointed as amicus curiae. He shall draft a criminal PIL petition, which shall be registered and placed before us.
