Mr. More, learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is elected as a member of Grampanchayat - Deulgaon from S.C. (Women) category. The post of Sarpanch of village Deulgaon was never reserved for S.C. since the year - 1995. The learned Counsel submits that the other villages where the population of S.C. is less have been reserved for S.C. category. The learned Counsel submits that Rule 2 of the Rules 1964 are not followed. The learned Counsel sought to

Mr. Kale, learned Government Pleader submits that there are only 12 posts of Sarpanch reserved in Shrigonda Taluka for SC. The descending order of the population has been considered. The illustration given by the petitioner of Gavhanewadi is not proper. The said village is having more population of S.C. than the petitioner's village and as far as Adalgaon is concerned the post of Sarpanch of the said Grampanchayat was reserved for S.C. in the year-2005.

Considering the above, writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
