The present contempt proceeding is filed on the basis of order dated 17th October, 2016, passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 10363/2016. The order reads as follows :

"This petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to Respondent No. 4 to take decision on the proposal forwarded by the management seeking approval to the appointment of the petitioner, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight weeks from today and it is accordingly directed."

Today, the learned A.G.P. has produced on record a copy of the communication made by the Education Officer (Secondary), Zilla Parishad, Jalgaon whereby it has been informed that the proposal has been rejected. The said communication is taken on record and marked "X" for the purpose of identification. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that today only, due to the aforesaid communication, the petitioner has learnt about the decision taken on the petitioner's proposal. 4.

In view of the decision taken by the Authority, referred to above, nothing survives in this contempt proceeding. The order passed by this Court in Writ Petition is substantially complied with. The Contempt Petition stands dismissed.
