An appeal under Section 44 of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats & Industrial Townships Act, 1965, presented by petitioner no.1, challenging order of his disqualification issued by the Collector, is stated to be pending. The petitioner is raising a grievance that the appeal presented by him with the State Government has not been attended by the concerned appellate authority and as such, he cannot urge the appellate authority to grant interim order directing stay of the order of disqualification issued by the Collector on 02.02.2015.

In the facts and circumstances of this case, ends of

{2} wp200515.odt justice would be met by directing Respondent No.1 to consider the application tendered by petitioners for grant of interim relief, in the appeal tendered by petitioners, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of three weeks from today; and it is accordingly directed.
