This Court by order dated 08.08.2025 had issued notice to the petitioner. Said notice is served upon the petitioner. The learned AGP appears for respondent Nos. 1 to 3. Respondent No.4 is also served. When the matter is called out, none appears except learned AGP. 02.

This petition is filed by the Municipal Council Employees Cooperative Society, Shrirampur through its Chairman. The issue is in respect of payment of Rs. 24,03,934=97 as per section 49 of the Maharashtra Cooperative Societies Act. It appears that inspite of service, none appears for the petitioner. The petition is of 1998. It seems that the petitioners have lost interest in prosecuting the petition. The order under challenge is an order of remand of the matter to the Asstt. Registrar, Co-operative Societies, Shrirampur. On 06.07.2017, this Court had passed order adjourning the matter to 27.07.2017 for dismissal, as none had appeared. It it thus seen that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the petition.

The petition, therefore, stands dismissed for want of prosecution. Needless to say that the interim relief stands vacated. Rule discharged.
