We have heard learned counsel for petitioners.

The learned counsel submits that, there was no propriety in staying the application filed by petitioners under Section 28-A of the Land Acquisition Act only on the ground that Appeal filed by the Acquiring Body is pending before this Court.

The learned A.G.P. appears for respondent nos.1 and 2 and submits that Appeal filed by Acquiring Body is pending before this Court and multiplication of application may not be tenable.

Considering the above, we do not find any error committed. At this stage, in case some further orders are passed in First Appeal filed by the Acquiring Body against the Award passed by the Reference Court, it will be open for the petitioner to take appropriate steps.
