By this PIL, the petitioner has prayed for issuing directions to take appropriate steps to keep the street pole lamps in the village Waluj in OFF position during the day time in view of the representations dated 03-09-2012, 06-11-2012 and 1301-2014. 2.

We have perused the affidavit-in-reply filed by respondent No.4. It is stated that various

(2) pil23.14 steps have been taken pursuant to the representations made by the petitioners.

Mr. Kale, the learned Government Pleader tenders a copy of the letter dated 27-03-2022 and would submit that wherever there are electricity connections provided on the street, two persons are specifically deployed to operate the switch so as to put-off and put-on electricity connections. He submits that Grampanchayat has also installed main switch to avoid any unnecessary consumption of the electricity. Statement is accepted.

In our view, in view of the steps already taken by the Grampanchayat, the purpose of filing this petition by the petitioner has achieved. Accordingly, the PIL petition is disposed of. [ S. G. MEHARE, J. ] [R. D. DHANUKA, J.] VishalK/pil23.14
