By this petition, the petitioners have put forth prayer clause (23-B), which reads as under :

"23-B.

By issuing writ of mandamus, or any other appropriate writ, order or direction in the like nature, the respondent authority may kindly be direct to decide the application dated, 18-12-2019 filed by the petitioner in the light of Government Resolution dated, 04-01-2017."

We have perused the said application dated 18/12/2019 which is pending and we find that the petitioners have made allegations against the elected representatives of the village

2288.20wp (2) panchayat for indulgence in misappropriation and siphoning off of the funds. When called upon as to what is the personal injury caused to the petitioners for which they seek our directions by exercising our extraordinary jurisdiction under Article 226, the learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that they are tax payers.

The petition before us is not a public interest litigation petition. The learned Advocate for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be permitted to withdraw this petition and they would file a public interest litigation petition in this Court. 4.

In view of the above, this petition is disposed off, as withdrawn.
