The order of disqualification of the petitioner U/Sec. 55-B of the Maharashtra Municipal Councils, Nagar Panchayats and Industrial Townships Act with a direction that the petitioner would not be entitled to contest the election for six years from the date of order is assailed. The said order is passed on 18.03.2004. The period of disqualification under the said order has already come to an end.

In the light of that, the relief claimed in the matter becomes redundant.
