It is informed that the application tendered by the petitioner in compliance with the directives issued by this Court in Writ Petition No.793/2010 is pending with the Collector who is exercising powers of Zilha Gaurav Samiti.

It would be open for the petitioner to appear before the Collector and tender necessary evidence in support of her claim. The Collector shall, after appearance of the petitioner and tendering of necessary evidence, if any, shall forward his report, either recommending grant of pension or refusing to recommend so, to the State Government within specified period. On receipt of report from the Collector, the State Government shall take appropriate decision in the matter.

The petitioner shall appear before the Collector on 9th March, 2015, with necessary documents. The Collector shall scrutinize the case and submit his recommendations to the State Government within a period of four weeks from the date of appearance of the petitioner. On receipt of the report of the Collector, the State Government shall take appropriate decision, as early as possible, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt of the report.
