The petitioners' proposals for validation of 'Thakar' Scheduled Tribe, are pending before the Committee. However, since they possess the tribe certificates with nomenclature 'Thakur', they submitted applications with respondent No.2 / Scrutiny Committee for returning the original tribe certificates so that those can be surrendered before respondent No.3 / Competent Authority, which has issued those soliciting fresh tribe certificates with correct nomenclature as 'Thakar'. 2.

The learned AGP on instructions submits that the khs/Feb.2025/1933

- 2 - Committee is ready to return the certificates to the petitioners, but when they will remain present.

We dispose of the writ petition with a direction to the petitioners to appear before the Committee on 14.02.2025 and the Committee shall consider their request and return the original certificates.
