In this Writ Petition, the Petitioner, inter-alia, has prayed for a direction to Respondent Nos. 2 to 5, to re-measure the land of the Petitioner and to initiate the proceedings under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013, within a fixed time limit. 2.

The learned AGP, on instructions, submits that the land of the Petitioner shall be re-measured and the award shall be passed within such time as may be directed by this Court.

In view of the aforesaid submissions and in the facts and circumstances of the case, and taking into account the fact that the prayer for re-measurement of the land is pending since 2019, we deem it appropriate to direct the competent authority to conclude the proceedings and to pass an award within a period of three months from today.
