1] The petitioner claims to belong to Mannervarlu scheduled tribe and is in receipt of certificate issued by the competent authority containing such certification. The tribe certificate issued to the petitioner is referred to the respondent no.2 - scrutiny committee for verification and the proposal is stated to be pending. 2] The petitioner contends that as a result of his failure to submit the tribe validation certificate, the
WP 3363/16 - 2 - college authorities have not permitted him to secure admission to the Third Year engineering degree course. 3] In view of above facts, this petition can be disposed of by issuing directions to the respondent no.2 - committee to decide the tribe verification claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of eight months from today and it is accordingly directed.
4] Learned counsel appearing for the respondent no.4 on instructions states that during pendency and finalization of the tribe certificate verification claim by the scrutiny committee, the petitioner would be permitted to prosecute further studies. The respondent no.4 - college as such shall permit the petitioner to secure admission to Third Year engineering degree course and pursue further studies.
5] In view of above, writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
